"Creating Spending Plans"
Covers how to develop a budget, financial goals and savings plan; how to track expenses;
monitor your cash flow; and related topics. This program is geared to first time
clients as well as clients who need to brush up their budgeting skills.
"Money Power Workshop"
Clients learn to recognize inappropriate attitudes and behaviors toward money and
credit, gain practical skills for effective money management and develop new financial
habits and improved self-confidence.
"Life After Debt"
Is a Program designed for clients who are nearing completion of a Debt Solver Plan
(DSP). This program explains how to check credit reports for zero balances; review
previous goals and setting and achieving the next level of goals, such as home buying;
discussion of savings and investments. Handouts include additional forms for continued
tracking of expenses.
"CCCS Newcomer's Workshop"
Serves to reinforce the information presented in one-on-one counseling sessions.
This program explains how to use DSP forms; who to contact if problems arise; how
to read CCCS statements; how to examine creditor statements; how to track and manage
cash flow so deposits can be made when due.
"MoneySmart Training Program"
This series of ten modules includes Banking Services, Credit and What Home Ownership
is all about. Each week will cover a separate module. This FDIC developed adult
education program is designed to give adults the basics for household finances.
Instructions for Students
"What is Money"
For pre-elementary school age children, this program shows that money is earned
by doing a job and money is spent on wants and needs.
"The Life of a Check"
For elementary school age children, this program helps students understand what
a check is and the importance of recording checks and deposits.
"Your Ticket to Ride"
The purpose of this program is to provide high school juniors and seniors with information
about buying and maintaining their first car.
"Credit Basics for Students"
The purpose of this program is to educate high school and college students about
how to manage money and credit before they get into serious troubles with credit
cards and student loans.
