CCAP,
Inc. offers a Federally funded infant preschool child
development program that provides free social and educational opportunities
for income eligible children from ages 0-5, including children
with special needs and pregnant women. The
program is designed to prepare eligible children with essential skills needed to enter the public school system.
Head Start complies with all local, state and
Federal regulations that outline clear educational performance, health
and safety standards
for the program.
Early Childhood
Development & Health Services
The
education services area enhances the child's individual mental processes
and skills, focusing in particular on developing conceptual
and communication skills. The classroom learning experiences
encourage
self-confidence and self-discipline, developing
the child's social and emotional health.
We help give your child a
Head
Start
The
health service area improves the child's health and physical
abilities. Comprehensive health care services are provided to
each Head Start child, including medical and dental examinations
and follow-up treatment; daily nutrition equal to two-thirds of
the child's needs; and identification of and professional services
for any special needs.
Head Start provides safe transportation for the children
from home to the center and back again. Drivers are certified
under the required laws to ensure they know and use safe driving
habits. Children are also transported to various sites for
field trips, which enhance the learning processes in the classroom
setting.
Family & Community
Partnerships
Head
Start partners with families to assist them in meeting their
goals through community services and resources.
Head
Start recognizes that the parent and family are the primary educators
and are the principal influence in the child's growth and
development.

Parents
have the opportunity to participate in all phases of planning
and operating the Head Start program. Workshops in early childhood
development are designed to improve parental skills. Parents
are encouraged to participate at every level in Head Start
and to become involved in other community activities that
impact their family.
All
volunteer activities contribute to Head Start's non-federal
share requirements.
You are invited to register your 0-5 year old children with Head Start. (Including children with special needs when appropriate.)
